Nokia applies for digital asset encryption equipment and program patents, suspected to enter the field of blockchain security

Finnish telecommunications company Nokia has applied for a patent for a ‘device, method, and computer program’ that can encrypt digital assets, suspected to enter the field of blockchain security through this patent.

On December 23, according to data from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Nokia Technologies has applied for (number: CN119155674A) a digital asset encryption patent. The technology outlined in the patent involves a device and a program with an encryption digital asset component.

The patent also includes a digital asset index for encryption, which the program will provide for its first network function to monitor the content of the encryption process. In addition, the system also includes a mechanism to identify encrypted digital assets, ensuring that these assets can be traced and verified before transactions. Although the actual content of the patent is not clear at the moment, it has been indicated that the company is intending to enter the field of digital asset encryption and may be developing devices to implement this function.
