Power shortages drive BBU rebound, with Gabby, Xingnenggao, and Xisheng hitting the daily limit. Who is quietly positioning themselves in this wave?

The Taiwan stock market experienced fluctuations and consolidation today, but one sector stood out by moving against the trend—BBU concept stocks collectively launched an attack. Among them, Baiyu(3323), Xingnenggao(6558), and Xisheng(3625) all hit the daily limit-up, with Baiyu breaking out with increased volume and closing at 44.65 NT dollars, locked in. The entire related industry chain is trending upward, indicating that capital with influence has already entered early to position.

What is BBU? Why has it suddenly become a focus?

BBU (Battery Backup Unit) is essentially an emergency power supply device with built-in batteries. When the main power suddenly fails, it can instantly provide backup power, giving critical equipment time to save data or shut down safely, serving as the last line of defense in power systems.

In the past, BBUs were mainly used in communication equipment, but now the situation has changed. With explosive growth in AI servers and data centers, these high-power-consuming devices demand extremely stable power— even a half-second interruption can cause huge losses. Coupled with the continuous rise in global electricity demand and the challenge to grid stability, BBUs have shifted from “optional equipment” to “essential infrastructure.” The industry even likens it to “the new oil in the AI era,” highlighting its strategic importance.

How urgent is the power bottleneck? Just look at CSP and data center investments

Global AI servers and data centers are expanding rapidly, but this has brought a bottleneck: stable and sufficient power supply has become the biggest challenge. High-end uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), energy storage systems, and BBU modules—once overlooked—are now key investment targets for cloud service giants(CSP) and data center operators.

NVIDIA’s upcoming AI Power Summit sends a clear signal to the industry: solving the power crisis is an urgent task. In this context, BBU applications are upgrading from niche markets to indispensable configurations in server rooms and semiconductor manufacturing management.

Shipment imminent, System Electric and Baiyu team up targeting US manufacturing opportunities

System Electric and Baiyu’s strategic alliance has been brewing. System Electric has acquired over 10% of Baiyu, and both focus on BBU and drone markets, with “BBU manufacturing in the US” as their core development direction.

A key development is that System Electric revealed at its recent investor conference that its BBU products are nearing verification completion, and the first cloud service major client is expected to start shipments in the first quarter of next year. Coupled with the upcoming mass production advantage of its new Texas plant, this means Baiyu’s partners are likely to benefit from the shipment wave simultaneously.

Meanwhile, Xingnenggao emphasizes product portfolio upgrades, with BBU energy storage applications passing certification, expected to bring new growth drivers for revenue and profit next year. Additionally, companies like Shunda and Shenshengli are expanding capacity, and the entire industry chain is preparing for explosive demand.

Capital has already sensed the opportunity, and short-term technicals are turning strong

From the market perspective, when the main index fluctuates at high levels and the market becomes cautious about high-valuation stocks, smart capital is clearly shifting toward sectors with relatively low stock prices and clear industry trends. BBU concept stocks are representative, led by stocks under 50 NT dollars that broke through the seasonal line with high volume, driving the entire group’s price and volume to rise, demonstrating strong resilience.

Take Baiyu as an example: today’s volume-driven long red candlestick broke through the seasonal resistance, with the daily KD indicator showing a golden cross, indicating a clear short-term technical shift favoring the bulls for further attack.

Future outlook: order fulfillment and revenue contribution are key

Analysts believe that under the big trend of AI investment, computing power continues to surge, and power supply stability has shifted from a supporting role to a central one. BBU systems, power management, and high-performance computing infrastructure possess structural long-term growth potential. This theme is expected to continue fermenting, with clear medium- and long-term prospects.

Investors should focus on tracking each company’s order fulfillment progress and revenue contribution timelines, as these will be important indicators for judging future trends.
