Bitcoin and SpaceX Share Same Valuation Problem, but Investors Choose AI Over BTC, Says Jordi Visser

BTC-0.92%

According to Jordi Visser, a veteran macro investor, Bitcoin and SpaceX are "basically the same thing," both driven by belief in future outcomes rather than traditional valuation metrics. Speaking on Anthony Pompliano's podcast on Saturday, Visser argued that because neither asset has a conventional valuation, they cannot be deemed overvalued or undervalued.

However, Visser noted Bitcoin currently "has no energy," as capital has rotated into artificial intelligence-related stocks. Bitcoin was trading at $64,065 at the time of writing, with retail sentiment turning neutral on Stocktwits. His comments align with recent remarks from Strategy Inc. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor and Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz, both describing weakness in the crypto sector.
