Aave DAO approves the acquisition proposal of 50 million dollars in AAVE annually from revenue

Aave DAO has approved a proposal to make the AAVE token acquisition program a permanent activity, allocating 50 million USD each year from protocol revenue for token buybacks. The proposal, initiated by Aave Chan Initiative (ACI), was passed with 100% approval, aimed at strengthening “Aavenomics” and increasing the token value.

According to DeFiLlama, Aave is currently the largest DeFi protocol with a TVL of 36.4 billion USD and a revenue of 12.7 million USD in the past 30 days. AAVE is currently trading at 200.54 USD, down 10.9% for the day.

According to the plan, the Aave Financial Committee (AFC) and TokenLogic may acquire AAVE worth between 250,000 to 1.75 million USD each week, depending on revenue and market conditions. This move marks a new trend in the cryptocurrency field, as many projects like Aave, Lido, or Jito prioritize profit-sharing for investors, similar to traditional business models.
