Digital Certificate Wallet Officially Launches, First Phase Focuses on Convenience Store Pickup Without ID
----------------------
The Digital Development Department in Taiwan has recently officially launched the Digital Certificate Wallet App, announcing six major trial operation areas. This app is not a traditional electronic wallet but a carrier that digitizes physical documents such as ID cards and driver's licenses.
The Digital Development Department emphasizes that through the Digital Certificate Wallet, users can verify their identity by "selective disclosure," providing only the necessary information to ensure personal data security.
Currently, the first phase of features only includes "convenience store pickup." After applying for and binding an electronic card to a telecom number, users can go to FamilyMart or 7-11 to pick up their goods by simply showing their phone.
