Ripple announced a strategic partnership with OpenPayd, a company that provides infrastructure services for the transfer of fiat currencies. The partnership between the two companies, one offering traditional and the other offering blockchain infrastructure services, will make many cross-border payment processes even smoother and faster.

With the partnership, payments received via Ripple can be seamlessly and quickly converted into euros and British pounds with OpenPayd.

Launched stablecoin infrastructure service

OpenPayd, which provides payment infrastructure in the traditional finance sector, started offering services for stablecoins at the end of May. This partnership with Ripple will also enable OpenPayd’s stablecoin infrastructure services to spread to a wider area. OpenPayd’s stablecoin infrastructure will also be used in the issuance and burning processes of RLUSD, the stablecoin of the Ripple ecosystem.

Thus, with this partnership, cross-border payments can become much faster, smoother, and lower-cost.

OpenPayd, founded by Ozan Özerk in 2018, is based in London and has offices in Turkey, Bulgaria, Malta, France, and the USA.
