Recently finished reading a book written by a Nikkei correspondent based in the United States, which discusses the movement of the US dollar and Japanese yen from the time after the Plaza Accord to the present. To be honest, I am only familiar with the market trends of these past few years; I learned a lot of historical details for the first time from this book, and it was very insightful.
The United States has put a lot of effort into maintaining its economic advantage through monetary hegemony and currency exchange rate games. This book connects those key nodes and shows that many of the current market logics actually had early warning signs long ago.

The U.S. eagle has dominated for so many years; anyone who resists will be hit.
