Don't remind me again today

#隐私币生态普涨 The aftermath of the U.S. government shutdown is still unfolding, and the crypto market is suffering along with it. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum have broken through key support levels.

On November 5, 2025, the U.S. government shut down directly due to unresolved budget negotiations. As soon as this happened, global funds immediately shifted to a defensive stance, leading to a collective sell-off of risk assets. Cryptocurrencies were no exception—Bitcoin and Ethereum both dropped over 5% that day, leaving bullish traders stunned.

Liquidity tightened, and speculative trading was hit first. The government shutdown meant some fiscal expenditures were paused, causing market participants to become more cautious about liquidity. The dollar strengthened in the short term, and hot money flowed into safe-haven assets like government bonds. For the crypto market? Capital inflows dried up, and assets with strong speculative traits were among the first to be sold off.

Leading coins fell, and the entire market trembled. Bitcoin and Ethereum, as gauges of market sentiment, not only broke confidence but also triggered chain reactions of liquidations. Data shows that over the past 24 hours, liquidation amounts exceeded billions of dollars—high-leverage traders were forced out en masse.

That said, a short-term correction doesn’t mean a trend reversal. The Federal Reserve’s easing cycle is still ongoing, and long-term investors haven’t completely pulled out. If the government shutdown leads to weaker economic data, it could even push more liquidity into the market.

So, here’s the question: Can MEME coins still be played?

When risk appetite is generally declining, MEME coins will likely see even more volatility. But if you’re looking at the medium to long term, there might still be opportunities—it's all about how you position yourself:

Don’t go all-in—keep some bullets ready
Now is not the time to bet everything. Gradually building positions and using low leverage is the right approach—maintain liquidity. Wait until the market shows signs of real stabilization before adding more.

Focus on projects with strong community backing
The vitality of MEME coins depends on active communities and ongoing narratives. During bear markets, only projects with active communities and tangible actions are likely to withstand the turbulence.
