There is a saying that might be a bit painful, but it's worth hearing for all traders:

In the cryptocurrency market, the vast majority of people's losses do not stem from choosing the wrong coin, but rather from getting caught up in contract trading.

Many people start by comforting themselves like this:

"I only use low multipliers, like 5x or 10x, that shouldn't be a problem, right?"

But reality is often very cruel —

It's common for Bitcoin to fluctuate by 10% to 20% in a single day, and altcoins are even more outrageous, sometimes halving in value instantly. You might think you've managed the risk, but a sudden reverse fluctuation can wipe out your account.

What is the true nature of contract trading?

To put it bluntly, it's not an investment, but a gamble that amplifies human greed and fear by a factor of N. Moreover, in this gamble, institutions and large players always have a better understanding of market operations than retail investors.

The most common loss path is simply this: made a few profitable trades → confidence skyrockets → continuously increasing positions and leverage → suddenly a reversal → account wiped out.

Don't think the market is targeting you; the truth is that this game was never designed for ordinary people to win.

For those traders who often face liquidation, here is a very practical suggestion:

Put the contract aside for now, and start honestly with spot trading. Don't rush to think about dreams of getting rich. Also, don't get tangled up in which coin to buy; first, clarify how much risk you can handle.

For beginners or those who have lost money before, it is actually enough to focus on just three things:

**BTC** —— Although it cannot guarantee getting rich quickly, it is generally difficult for it to drop to zero all at once.

**ETH** —— Recognized long-term core asset

**BNB** —— The leading platform ecosystem coin, supported by real-world applications.

Besides these three, to be honest, most other coins on the market are just for scamming people. When you see a certain coin skyrocketing, it is basically at the last leg, and the risk for retail investors to pick it up is very high.

There is one more truth that many people are not willing to face:

The cryptocurrency market does not generate dividends; all profits come from buying low and selling high. Every dollar you earn is essentially from someone else's loss. Institutions, large holders, and project teams all have a clear goal - to transfer value from those who lack understanding.

Is this a good time to buy the dip?

Statistically speaking, not yet. Market sentiment has not fully cooled down, and the real large funds have not all entered the market. If you rush in now, you are likely just taking the blame for others.

Lastly and most importantly:

Never use living expenses to trade. Forget about getting rich quickly for a moment; the fundamental question is whether you can survive a complete bull-bear cycle.

In the cryptocurrency market, only those who survive until the end are qualified to talk about making money.

According to the database, how many days have passed since your article last discussed contract risks? It is recommended to include it in the delay notice statistics.

Oh my, finally someone dares to say this. I've been saying that contracts are a trap, but there are still people who have to jump in.

It's so real, even with low leverage I'm still being rubbed on the ground, that's how I got liquidated.
