To make trades, you have to be fierce.

Many people have been struggling in this market for several years, learning a bunch of tactics, yet they are still hovering on the edge of losing money. Where is the problem? It's not that they haven't done their homework; instead, they want to learn everything and try everything.

So what happened? On Monday, I saw a breakout in the market and bought in. On Tuesday, I thought the price would rebound again and opened a position. On Wednesday, I saw bearish signals and decided to establish a short position. In one account, the bulls and bears were having a great time fighting it out, and in the end, I lost on fees and my mindset.

Every trading system sounds beautiful – some make a few points a day with short-term trading, some double their income monthly with medium-term positions, and some take long-term positions that soar. But you can't do all three at the same time. The contradiction between trading systems lies here – today's advantage could very likely become a burden in tomorrow's different system. Trying to fill the gaps by "learning a few more systems" instead amplifies the shortcomings and dilutes the advantages.

Bruce Lee's famous quote is classic: It's not about being afraid of an opponent who has a thousand techniques, but being afraid of him practicing one technique a thousand times.

The same applies to trading. Instead of casting a wide net to learn 100 methods, it is better to choose one that truly suits your style, refine it repeatedly, iterate continuously, and stick to its execution. Behind every system that can make money steadily, there is a corresponding single profit logic. You cannot have short, medium, and long-term gains all at once.

Choose one, called pure.

Practice a thousand times to truly master it.

That's right, holding a bunch of systems actually leads to faster losses. That's the painful lesson I learned.

Another useless innovation, I'll try out this smart trap first. In theory, it should work, but in practice, it will definitely crash. Luban No.7 is under construction again, this time with a new trick of account explosion. It's just learning a few more contracts, but ended up locking myself inside. Maximum academic value, minimum practical value, I lost again. Choose one, called purity? I feel like I'm doing small experiments, and the final mastery results in losses. Long on Monday, short on Tuesday, liquidation on Wednesday, now I’ve mastered it.

This guy saw right through me. I'm the kind of loser who randomly opens positions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Wow, isn't this just talking about me? Long on Monday, short on Tuesday, then take the opposite position on Wednesday, the account has never been quiet haha.

To put it bluntly, my account has this problem. Long positions on Monday, short positions on Tuesday, and then changed my mind on Wednesday, the fees ate up half of the profits, haha.

No mistakes in what you said. I used to struggle like this before, having both long and short positions in my account, and ended up only making transaction fees. If you want to be tough, you need to be focused; this is the truth. Wanting to make daily profits and monthly flips, in the end, you end up with nothing. I need to tattoo Bruce Lee's words on my brain. Seriously, pick one trap and stick to it, don’t be indecisive. Out of ten thousand repetitions and a hundred variations, I choose the ten thousand repetitions.

The words may be harsh, but the reasoning is sound. I've been losing this way for the past few years: long on Monday, short on Tuesday, and then taking the opposite position on Wednesday. My account has never been at peace.

Bruce Lee's saying is really amazing, I finally understand now, the reason I've been losing all this time is right here.
