The recent craze for Pokemon cards seems to have peaked. A few years from now, it may very likely repeat the fate of NFTs. However, judging from the insane enthusiasm in the retail and encryption circles, there is indeed soil for a new wave of speculation. What does this indicate? Market sentiment and capital flow can be ignited as long as there is a story. The problem is that the encryption field has not yet seen that "story" that can ignite the entire market. Each wave of excitement tells us the same truth: human nature remains unchanged, and cycles persist.

I still remember that wave of NFTs, and now it's Pokemon again... It's really just a cycle of chives being repeatedly harvested.

honestly the pokemon card cycle is just another textbook adoption curve nobody bothered to study. people see shiny collectibles and think they've discovered some revolutionary store of value... it's just nostalgia arbitrage wrapped in speculation. nft graveyard called, wants its playbook back lol

It's just another story of being played for suckers; once the story is over, it's time to disperse.

The pattern has formed, and the chips have obviously accumulated at the top. It's just the same old story of Be Played for Suckers, just with a different disguise.
