According to China Earthquake Networks Center, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of eastern Honshu, Japan on May 15 at 7:22 p.m. The quake was located at coordinates 39.17°N, 141.97°E, according to the center's automatic measurement system.
