Bitcoin Tops $64K as U.S. Consumer Prices Fall 0.4% in June

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. consumer prices fell 0.4% in June on July 14, the largest one-month decrease since April 2020, easing annual inflation to 3.5% from 4.2%. Bitcoin climbed above $64,000, up 3.5% in 24 hours, while Ether rose to $1,875, up 5.2%, according to CoinGecko data. Markets now price roughly 80% odds that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates at 3.50%–3.75% at its July 28–29 meeting, per CME FedWatch data.
