On July 15, CBOT wheat futures rose 5.08% to $6.7775 per bushel, approaching the May 14 peak of $7, according to Bloomberg data. CBOT corn futures gained 1.90% to $4.6925 per bushel. The Bloomberg Commodity Index climbed 2.80% to 31.7973 points. Soybean futures rose 0.90%, soybean meal gained 1.32%, and soybean oil rose 0.35%. Lean hog futures increased 2.67%, while live cattle edged down 0.61%. Cocoa futures rose 1.91% to $5,917 per tonne, and canola futures gained 2.51%.
