China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said on July 7 that Beijing calls on the United States to fully and promptly lift its illegal unilateral sanctions on Venezuela, citing the need to facilitate post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction. Ning made the remarks while addressing Venezuela's earthquake challenges, noting that current restrictions and frozen assets hinder humanitarian aid delivery and financial transactions required for imports of essential goods.
