China's Per Capita Consumption Reaches 14,836 Yuan in H1 2026, Up 3.7% Year-over-Year

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's per capita consumption expenditure reached 14,836 yuan in the first half of 2026, representing a nominal increase of 3.7% compared to the same period last year, or 2.7% after adjusting for price factors.

Urban residents spent an average of 18,071 yuan, up 3.0% nominally (2.0% real), while rural residents spent 10,180 yuan, up 4.6% nominally (3.8% real).
