Cobo Launches Settlement Network for Institutional Stablecoin Clearing Today

Cobo, a digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure provider, officially launched the Settlement Network today (July 28) to enable bilateral clearing and automated settlement of institutional stablecoin transactions. The system allows trading counterparties to verify, lock, and execute fiat and stablecoin settlements simultaneously, eliminating first-mover risk and delivery-versus-payment enforcement gaps that currently burden stablecoin adoption.

The network addresses settlement friction by holding fiat funds in virtual sub-accounts and stablecoins in Cobo custody, then automatically executing transfers once pre-specified conditions are met. Both parties sign settlement contracts through Cobo Guard, creating deterministic execution with immutable audit trails for reconciliation.
