According to an interview with The Block, Changpeng Zhao, founder of Binance, outlined a scenario where Bitcoin reaches $1 million by the 2033 market cycle. CZ mapped the path using Bitcoin's historical 3-5x multiplier per cycle: if the next cycle achieves a 5x return, Bitcoin would reach approximately $600,000, and a subsequent 2x move would take it to $1 million. He cautioned the prediction was "totally possible" but not a firm forecast, noting the difficulty of attaching price targets to specific dates.
CZ attributed the most recent cycle's weak 2x performance to geopolitical disruptions including war, elections, and macro headwinds, along with capital flowing into competing AI ventures. He argued Bitcoin remains underpenetrated, with current holders representing less than 1% of global wealth.
