Daishin Securities Shows High Concentration Risk: 34 Mega Contracts Worth 33.5% of Assets

According to Daishin Securities' Q1 2026 quarterly report, the company's discretionary investment business exhibits a structural imbalance: small contracts dominate by count but high-value contracts control assets. Of 40,279 total contracts, those under 100 million Korean won represent 92.23% of contracts but only 9.93% of assets at 264.6 billion won. Conversely, 34 contracts exceeding 10 billion won account for 0.09% of contract count yet represent 33.48% of total assets at 891.9 billion won. Total discretionary assets under management reached 2.698 trillion won, up from 2.565 trillion won previously. Despite increased contract volume, operational staff decreased to 96 from 100, suggesting improved efficiency. Short-term financial products comprise 77% of managed assets, reflecting a conservative positioning.
