Dollar Index Rises to 101.561 as Asian Stocks Plunge on July 28

According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 28 at 7:36 a.m. ET, the Dollar Index (DXY) rose to 101.561, up 0.047 points (0.046%) from the previous close of 101.514, driven by broad risk-off sentiment in Asian markets. South Korea's KOSPI fell 10.84% and Taiwan's index dropped 4.65%, while U.S. E-mini Nasdaq 100 futures declined over 1% and Micron Technology slid more than 7% in premarket trading. WTI crude oil for September delivery fell nearly 2% to $81 per barrel.

The Euro-to-Dollar rate fell to 1.13645, while the Dollar-to-Yen rate rose to 163.918 yen (up 0.108% from the previous session). Offshore Dollar-to-Yuan (CNH) increased to 6.7724 yuan.
