ECB's T2 Payment System Resumes After Early Morning Disruption on July 6

According to the European Central Bank, its Target 2 (T2) payment system experienced a temporary disruption early July 6 CET but has resumed normal operations. The system went down around 2:40 AM during non-optional maintenance and resumed at 3:12 AM, with settlement windows for euro (EUR) and Danish krone (DKK) delayed. Participating institutions' settlement instructions were held in queue until the settlement window reopened. T2 is the core payment infrastructure used by European central banks and financial institutions for large-value transfers and financial transactions in euros.
