Embodied AI Forum in Beijing Highlights Industry Challenges as H1 2026 Funding Hits 46 Billion Yuan

According to Zhitong Finance, on June 30, a forum jointly organized by Lenovo Holdings, Lenovo Star, and Fusion Information Center discussed challenges in embodied AI and humanoid robotics commercialization. First-half 2026 funding for the sector reached approximately 46 billion yuan, nearly equivalent to the total from the previous two to three years combined.

Industry executives highlighted three key obstacles: data infrastructure gaps, production bottlenecks, and divergent technical strategies. Participants emphasized the need to build data flywheel systems, scale manufacturing capabilities, and establish independent supply chains to transition from "Made in China" to "Smart Manufacturing in China."
