Global EV Registrations Hit 2 Million Units in June, Up 7% Year-over-Year

According to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, global electric vehicle registrations reached 2 million units in June, up 7% year-over-year, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth. In the first half of 2026, global EV registrations rose 2% compared to the same period last year.

Regionally, Europe led growth with registrations jumping 31% year-over-year to approximately 530,000 units in June. North America saw a 13% decline, attributed to the end of U.S. electric vehicle tax credit incentives.
