According to Kim Dong-won, head of research at KB Securities, the recent sharp decline in semiconductor stocks on July 28 is driven by investor sentiment rather than deteriorating fundamentals. Kim, who has maintained a bullish stance on semiconductors since Samsung Electronics traded in the 50,000 won range and was the first to project a KOSPI upper target of 7,500 last year, noted that underlying industry conditions remain intact despite market weakness.
