Maersk Adjusts Peak Season Surcharges from Far East to Northern Europe and Mediterranean, Effective July 22

According to Jin10, Maersk announced adjustments to peak season surcharges (PSS) from Far East Asia to Northern Europe and Mediterranean on July 14, with rates effective July 22 (and August 1 for Korea-origin cargo). From Far East Asia excluding Korea to Northern Europe and Mediterranean, 20-foot containers will incur $500 surcharge and 40- and 45-foot containers $1,000. Rates to Syria are set at 440 euros (20-foot) and 880 euros (40- and 45-foot). Korea-origin shipments apply the same surcharge amounts.
