According to Stocktwits, Micron (MU) and SanDisk (SNDK) gained 2% to 2.7% in Monday's overnight session, snapping a three-day losing streak in memory chip stocks. Western Digital (WDC) rose 2.1%, while the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) extended gains by 2.7% overnight. Micron's market capitalization has remained below $1 trillion since falling through that threshold on July 16.
UBS highlighted Micron as an attractive investment, estimating it could repurchase more than 40% of its shares by the end of 2028 once buyback restrictions expire in December 2026. The firm expects Micron to generate over $400 billion in free cash flow through 2028 to fund repurchases at current prices.
