MSC Levies Seasonal Surcharges of $2,000–$3,000 on India-Pakistan-Bangladesh to West Africa Routes Starting July 10

According to Jin10 Futures, starting July 10, 2026 (based on port entry date), Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is imposing peak season surcharges (PSS) on all shipments from the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh) to West Africa due to strong demand on the IPAK trade lane.

The surcharge standards are: 20-foot dry/reefer containers at $2,000 and 40-foot dry/reefer containers at $3,000 per unit. The surcharges will remain in effect until further notice.
