According to Stand With Crypto announced on July 6, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) formally endorsed the CLARITY Act on July 1, marking the first major public law enforcement endorsement of the bill. NOBLE, which represents more than 3,000 law enforcement members across 60 chapters, cited the bill's expanded regulatory obligations, enhanced digital asset forfeiture authorities, and preservation of existing criminal enforcement authorities.
Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA), representing more than 130 million U.S. citizens, moved to a neutral position on July 3 following continued discussions on Section 604 of the legislation. MCSA withdrew its opposition after clarifications on how the administration plans to implement the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act provisions, while maintaining engagement on potential amendments to strengthen the bill.
