According to Jin10, economist Bas Kooijman from DHF Capital S.A. stated in a report that oil price movements have become a key driver of U.S. Treasury yields and market expectations for the Federal Reserve's interest rate path. Further declines in oil prices could intensify disinflationary pressure and dampen expectations for monetary tightening, while escalation of Middle East tensions could revive inflation concerns and push up Treasury yields.
