According to GoPlus security monitoring, Ostium, a RWA trading platform on Arbitrum, was hacked yesterday (July 15) due to a compromised administrator private key, resulting in estimated losses of $11.86 million. The attacker opened a position through the openTrade function, manipulated prices via the performUpkeep function, and profited by calling closeTradeMarket. The performUpkeep function requires signature verification from an authorized account, indicating the private key was likely leaked. Ostium has suspended all trading while investigating the incident.
