Samsung Compliance Chair Says 'Uncertain' on ADR Listing, Confirms 400 Trillion Won Chip Plant Investment

According to Yonhap Infomax, on July 21, Samsung Compliance Committee Chair Lee Chan-hee stated he was unfamiliar with details surrounding Samsung Electronics' potential American Depositary Receipt (ADR) listing, declining to comment on the matter. Lee emphasized that the compliance committee would review any proposal once it reached the board if it involved compliance concerns, but would not intervene in specific management decisions.

Samsung Electronics plans to invest approximately 400 trillion Korean won to construct two new semiconductor fabrication plants in South Korea's Honam region, with Gwangju identified as the primary candidate due to infrastructure and incentive support.
