Seoul Court Terminates Home Plus Restructuring, Liquidation Process Begins

According to the IB industry, on July 5, Seoul Rehabilitation Court decided to terminate Home Plus' corporate restructuring procedure, triggering liquidation proceedings. If the retailer fails to secure 200 billion Korean won in operating funds within 14 days to file an appeal, the court decision becomes final. The company will then proceed with bankruptcy and liquidation instead of court-supervised restructuring. Reports indicate up to 62 stores may be separated and sold off, marking the retail sector's largest-scale liquidation event.
