South Korea Bank Lending Rates Rise to 4.31% in June, Up 12 Basis Points Month-on-Month

According to Bank of Korea's financial statistics released on July 28, the weighted average new loan rate for June reached 4.31% annually, up 12 basis points from the previous month. Small and medium-sized enterprise lending rates recorded the steepest increase at 23 basis points. The new-issue deposit rate rose to 3.08% annually, up 15 basis points month-on-month. Household fixed-rate loan proportion declined to 22.7% in June from 24.6% in May, continuing a downward trend.
