South Korea's KOSPI Plunges 6.37% on July 16, Down 24.7% From June Record

According to Korea Exchange data, South Korea's KOSPI index plunged 463.81 points (6.37%) to close at 6,820.60 on July 16, marking a 24.7% decline from its June 19 record high of 9,052.42. Since June, circuit breakers have been triggered five times, while sell-side curbs activated 18 times, occurring approximately once every two trading days. Over 90% of leveraged single-stock investors are currently posting losses.
