Tether Invests $20 Million in Argentine Digital Bank Ualá as Part of $197 Million Funding Round

According to Bloomberg, Tether has invested $20 million in Ualá, an Argentine digital bank, as part of Ualá's $197 million funding round announced in March. The investment will support Ualá's expansion across Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. Ualá, which has 1.1 million customers and a post-funding valuation of $3.2 billion, plans to accelerate operations in Mexico. Tether will serve as a financial investor only; USDT integration on the platform is not planned in the near term due to regulatory conditions in Argentina and Mexico.
