TSMC announced expanded investment in its Arizona manufacturing operations to a total of $265 billion, including an additional $100 billion commitment to accelerate construction of fabrication plants and research facilities. Chief Financial Officer Wendell Huang attributed the expansion to "multi-year structural demand" for artificial intelligence semiconductors from major technology companies.

TSMC's stock closed down 2.77% at $398.37 on Friday but recovered in premarket trading Monday, rising 1.39% to approximately $403.90.
