Yuan Appreciates Against Dollar; USD/CNY Fixes at 6.7917 on July 21

On July 21, China's interbank foreign exchange market set the yuan's midpoint rate against the dollar at 6.7917, down 31 points from the previous day as the yuan appreciated. The euro/yuan rate was set at 7.7418, down 152 points, while the British pound/yuan fell 179 points to 9.1083. The Canadian dollar weakened to 4.8176, down 239 points, and the Swiss franc declined to 8.3734, down 222 points. The Australian dollar strengthened to 4.7468, up 103 points.
