Deep Tide TechFlow news, on July 8, tBTC has been launched on Sui, further promoting the prosperity and development of the Sui ecosystem’s BTCFi. The team behind tBTC is Threshold Network, and this protocol aims to empower Bitcoin in DeFi while retaining its minimal trust security model.
Through this collaboration, users can mint tBTC directly on the Sui network and efficiently utilize Bitcoin capital through DeFi protocols that support instant settlement and ultra-low fees. tBTC will be fully available on Sui, supporting scenarios such as trading, lending, collateralization, and yield strategies. This integration will initially activate Bitcoin liquidity in four Sui native protocols: Bluefin, Bucket, AlphaLend, and AlphaFi.
It is reported that this cooperation will make Sui the first non-EVM public chain to support the direct minting of tBTC in Threshold applications, thereby enhancing accessibility and further consolidating its position as the preferred platform for Bitcoin liquidity. The Sui ecosystem’s BTCFi continues to develop, and since February, nearly 600 BTC have been bridged into Sui, with BTC-supported assets accounting for over 10% of Sui’s total locked value (TVL).
