Golden Finance reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin pointed out that the collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, run by Sam Bankman-Fried, is the complete opposite of the Ethereum philosophy: Ethereum is decentralized, “cannot do evil,” and is also a community.
The billionaire in the encryption field took the main stage at the Ethereum Devconnect conference held in Argentina on Monday, wearing a pair of Willy Wonka-inspired sunglasses, dressed in a wrinkled Moo Deng T-shirt, and fiercely criticized the former FTX CEO.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Buterin moved to the first slide of his presentation, which featured a photo of Bankman-Fried and a famous quote from the imprisoned encryption tycoon: “I entered the crypto space because I wanted to make the biggest positive impact on the world.”
