Argentina Proposes Allowing Mutual Funds to Invest in Bitcoin and Crypto

According to CriptoNoticias, Argentina's government on July 24 proposed allowing mutual investment funds (FCI) to invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, with virtual assets eligible as collateral. The measure, drafted by Economy Minister Federico Sturzenegger as part of a deregulation bill, is pending President Javier Milei's signature before submission to Congress. The proposal also permits securities such as stocks and convertible bonds to be issued, stored, and traded via crypto networks.
