Category Labs Launches Cadence Consensus Protocol With 219ms Confirmation Time

BTX-0.95%
According to Foresight News, Category Labs launched Cadence, a new consensus protocol featuring a multi-concurrent proposer (MCP) mechanism that enables multiple block proposers to participate concurrently without sacrificing latency. Simulation tests on a 200-node global network showed average final confirmation time of 219 milliseconds and 167 milliseconds for speculative confirmation. The team stated that Cadence, combined with the encrypted mempool design BTX, represents a significant step toward solving MEV at the protocol layer.
