China Stocks Fall on July 28, Startup Board Drops 7.35%, U.S. Markets Mixed

According to Jin10, on July 28, Chinese equity indexes declined across the board. The Startup Board fell 7.35%, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 4.52%, the CSI 300 fell 2.83%, and the Shanghai Composite fell 1.16%. The ChiNext 50 Index slid 6.33%. In contrast, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.41% and the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.61%. U.S. markets showed mixed performance: the Dow Jones surged 1.03% while the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.22%; the S&P 500 edged up 0.22%. European indexes were mostly higher, with the FTSE 100 up 0.88%, CAC 40 up 0.63%, and DAX 30 up 0.24%, though Italy's FTSE MIB fell 0.66%.
