According to Coinbase Canada CEO Eric Richmond in an interview with BNN Bloomberg this week, the company is expanding its "Everything Exchange" to Canadian users—a single platform combining crypto, stocks, ETFs, and prediction markets in one account. Tokenized stocks, which are shares recorded on a blockchain and settle instantly without market-hours limitations, are planned to launch for non-U.S. users, including Canadians, this month with full dividend rights. The rollout in the U.S. is already underway, with stock and ETF trading launched in February 2026 and prediction markets introduced in January through Kalshi. Coinbase expects to finalize the full Everything Exchange launch in Canada once stablecoin regulations are completed in 2027.
