D-Wave Quantum Stock Jumps 20% on AT&T's Quantum Computing Expansion Agreement

According to AT&T's official announcement on Monday, July 27, D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) stock surged 20.36% to close at $19.51 after the telecom giant signed an agreement to expand the use of D-Wave's annealing quantum systems across its network operations. In early work, AT&T said the technology reduced processing time for one network optimization workload from approximately one hour to under 15 seconds. The company plans to integrate D-Wave's quantum technology into its artificial intelligence tools that currently manage network operations, with potential broader applications including outage detection, technician routing, and traffic management.
