Digital Lending Complaints in Kenya Rise to 355 in Year to June 2025, Up From 67

According to the Competition Authority of Kenya, complaints against digital lenders rose to 355 in the year to June 2025 from 67 a year earlier, making them the largest source of consumer grievances in the financial services sector. The authority attributed the increase to misleading representations, undisclosed charges, and unilateral changes to loan terms.
