Exxon Mobil Invests $1 Billion in Nigeria's Usan Infill Project Earlier This Week

According to Nigeria's upstream petroleum regulator NUPRC, Exxon Mobil and its partners will invest $1 billion in the Usan Infill Project, an offshore oil development project, earlier this week. The investment is expected to increase daily crude production by 40,000 barrels per day. The project marks the return of Exxon's Nigerian subsidiary, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria, to the country's drilling operations for the first time since 2016.
