The Hang Seng Index closed at 23,350 on Friday, up 295 points, ending a seven-week consecutive losing streak. The index gained 679 points for the week as it recovered from a June low of 22,518. This week, the HSI extended gains with a 192-point rally in the morning session to 23,542, representing a 0.83% increase, signaling an early recovery in market sentiment. Technical indicators have improved, with the index breaking above its 5-day and 10-day moving averages (23,170 and 23,212, respectively) and forming higher highs and higher lows over three consecutive days. Key resistance levels are set at the 20-day moving average of 23,862 and the 30-day average around 24,350–24,400. Critical support is at the 10-day line of 23,212; failure to hold this level would expose 23,000 and below.
