Iran Condemns U.S. Military Strikes on Maritime Infrastructure on July 9

According to Iran's representative at the 137th session of the International Maritime Organization Council, Iran on July 9 condemned U.S. military strikes over the past two days on its ports, coastal regions, and maritime infrastructure. The Iranian official stated that U.S. military operations targeted the Chabahar Port vessel traffic control tower, civilian fishing vessels, and equipment used for maritime safety and security, calling the strikes "illegal use of force" against Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity that "directly endangered civilian lives, maritime safety, commercial shipping, and marine environment."
