Japan's Nikkei 225 Rises 1.38% on Semiconductor Stock Rally, Kioxia Surges 9%

According to Yonhap Infomax, Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 924.80 points (1.38%) to close at 67,743.85 today (July 9), buoyed by strength in U.S. semiconductor stocks. Tokyo Electron climbed over 5% and Advantest gained more than 6%. Kioxia surged nearly 9% after Bain Capital, its largest shareholder, announced a strategic sale of its stake, removing overhang concerns. The Topix index rose 13.94 points (0.35%) to 4,020.37.
