KOSPI Surges 5.22% to 7,100.47 on July 22, KOSDAQ Rebounds

On July 22 at 12:30 p.m., South Korea's KOSPI index (benchmark equity index) gained 352.52 points, or 5.22%, to 7,100.47, driven by foreign investor buying. Foreign investors purchased a net 1.948 trillion Korean won, while individual investors and institutions sold net 1.811 trillion won and 135.4 billion won, respectively. The KOSDAQ index declined earlier but rebounded.
